Liberals insert themselves into your life in the weirdest of ways. Liberals also present teaching moments, or rants as I like to call them. Take today for instance. I’m driving over with the family to get some food. As I approach a stop light, out of a MacDonald’s parking lot pulls a Toyota Prius. Now that’s not unusual near Johnson County, Kansas. Prius’ are a dime a dozen in that area. My beef is not with the people owning a Prius. If you wish to buy an overpriced car in your effort to save the planet, you’re free to do so…after all, it’s your money to waste. My beef, and a great teaching moment came in what I saw next.

This older man, I’d fathom a guess of late 50s or early 60s, had a personalized license plate. Now I like personalized plates, it show a persons individuality as well as gives me amusement when bored trying to figure some of them out. But this gent’s plate was easy, it read “NO CO2″. Talk about a holier than thou self righteous liberal blowhard. He has to advertise to the world around him that HIS car is producing NO CO2…announcing that he is a good little environmentalist. He chose a personalized plate that screamed for the world to look at him and give him applause because he, alone, was saving the planet by his car not producing CO2.

Then it hit me, he’s a typical liberal. He is in desperate need of validation for something he’s done. People won’t, in his mind, give him enough credit, he has to tell them WHY he needs their patting him on the back. This is why liberals do what they do…they have no self esteem, they need, no, they CRAVE validation. Look at the Presidential campaign being waged at this moment to see my point.

The recent fund raiser at Charles Koch’s place in New York is my prime example. Liberals, when they found out that Mitt Romney was raising funds at Charles Koch’s house, decide to picket the place. It was a massive failure of a protest. It’s like a bad movie entitled, “What happens if you through a protest and no one shows up?”. The point being, that they actually protested a simple fundraiser. You never saw Conservatives protest George Clooney raising funds for Obama did you? You don’t see protesters outside any place where George Soros is passing out his funds do you? Hell no you don’t. The question is…why don’t you?

The answer is simple. Validation. If you don’t agree with a Conservative, we will debate or argue with you about it. If it’s a website that we disagree with, we don’t go to that website. If it’s a business that has politics that are the opposite of ours, we don’t visit that establishment. What do liberals do if a website disagrees with them? They try to get it taken down by the ISP or the host of the site. They may even resort to Denial of Service attacks. What do liberals do to businesses that disagree with them? They protest them, they do mass boycotts and try to put them owners out of business (for this in action, try looking at the Twitter hashtag #ALEC and see what they try to do to business that legally support ALEC).

The reason liberals act like this or like that older gentleman today…is that they need validation. It’s their self worth. If you challenge it,  you challenge who they are as they don’t have principles…their “beliefs” are emotion driven, not logical thoughts. If you challenge someone who is bedrock in their beliefs, well thought out and logical beliefs, they will debate you, sometimes vigorously. They will then go about their lives. If you challenge a liberal, who has their beliefs built upon the straw house of emotions, you cut to their heart. They react violently. Emotions lead to knee jerk reactions. In essence, the protests you see on an almost weekly basis.

So, this guy gives me a chance to explain to my daughter this aspect of liberals. It’s simple…the man bought the Prius in his vain attempt to save the environment because he’s bought into the fantasy of global warming (climate change these days). So he is fed the line that the hybrids will help save the planet by not producing CO2 (hence is vain license plate). What he does not realize or has never been told is that the plant that makes the batteries for the Prius is destroying forests around it in Canada.
